Happy New Year! Okay, I’m late to the party on this one, but hey. It’s still a new year, and you can still be happy.
The first few weeks of this month were crazy, and I’ve spent the last week recovering. I’ve posts swirling around in my head, but no time or energy to write them. But hey, new year, new week, new leaf.
I’m back and ready to write again. But first, I thought I’d update you on where I’ve been.
AFAA: I slowed down on posts in November because I went down a deep dark hole of studying for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Group Fitness Instructor Certification Test. I hadn’t studied for anything in a long time, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure I remembered how. Gradually, I remembered how I like to assimilate information. I read the information, write it, and then read it again. And guess what? I passed! With my certification, I will continue to teach a cardio hip hop class at Baylor’s Student Life Center. I’ll post more about the AFAA process later.
Weddings Everywhere: Wedding season is real and it’s here. I have six (actually seven but two are on the same day in different states, so we sadly can’t be at both) weddings to go to this year. Well, actually, now we have five because we’ve already been to one of them. Amy, one of my roommates from college (and one of the most wonderful women I know) got married in the first week of January. It’ll be crazy, but my wedding day was my most favorite day and I hope all of my friends get to experience the same magic!
Travel Craziness: Lastly, Jon and I logged so major travel hours spending time with friends and family, which is time consuming, but me for me the introvert, it’s also draining. I loved the time we spent we some of our favorite people, but afterwards, I was totally drained. I spent the last week recovering.
That really about covers it. But I’m coming out of my shell now. You can expect posts on fitness, (because now I’m officially certified! Woohoo!) food, fashion, and relationships coming up. If there’s anything in particular you’d like to read, let me know.
