Springtime is here, in all of its pastel, sneezy glory.
I love spring. I love the colors, the flowers, and the sunshine. It reminds me that’s time to switch out my wardrobe, and how pale my legs are. Ha. They basically glow in all of their paleness.
It’s also a busy season this year, filled with lots of weddings and traveling. So between work picking up the pace, working out (when I can actually make myself get to the gym) traveling for weddings, and teaching dance, I have to take time to relax.
Although, there is a difference between doing something refreshing and relaxing, and escaping. I love escaping into a marathon of Grey’s Anatomy, but zoning out in front of the TV doesn’t always refresh me. Currently, my go-to refreshing and relaxing activities are going for a walk, (fresh air and all that) reading a book or a magazine, and taking an Epsom salt bath.
Have you ever taken an Epsom salt bath? A couple years ago, I complained to a friend about soreness, and she recommend it. Total game changer. I don’t know how it works, I just know it does. Also, bonus: Epsom Salt is cheaper than a lush bath bomb, and it still makes for a relaxing bath, especially if you get lavender Epsom salt.
My favorite way to relax at the end of the evening is to light my lavender candle, take an Epsom salt bath, and read. In fact, I’ll probably do that tonight after I teach the cardio hip hop class.
